bong ro nba It's actually 'Bong-tree' (not that it matters, as it is an invented word). The whole point of Edward Lear's poems is that they are 'nonsense rhymes' that make you smile. You can imagine what the nonsense words mean in any way you like – although it is usually easy to know what kind of thing he means (a Bong-tree is obviously some kind of tree!!!)..
